J&G Aviation, LLC is a general aviation maintenance business based out of Grand Prairie Airport (KGPM). Our core focus is on required maintenance and aircraft inspections (annual, 100-hour, pre-buy reviews, airworthiness directives, and manufacturer service bulletins). The company prides itself on high quality work, constant improvement, transparent communications, and timely aircraft turnaround times. Prior to hiring, our company conducts references checks, background checks, and applicants must pass a drug test as mandated by the FAA.

Duties:
● Reports directly to the Shop Supervisor, works alongside A&P's, and apprentices
● Assisting apprentice and other A&P's as needed on customer aircraft to include, but not limited to 100hr/annual inspections, oil changes, repairs, installs, and major overhauls.
● Assist leaders in the areas of operations support, personnel training, shop efficiency, work order management, associated documentation, leadership, maintenance inspection authorizations, maintenance manual, J&G and FAA procedures/guidelines and quality control.
● Attend and participate in scheduled company meetings.
● Assist in performing Annual Inspections/Repairs. Updating AD's and STC's by researching and documenting necessary updates on AD reports. Conducts 337 documentation. Proficiency is measured by quality of work outlined in J&G's and industry standards for completing such duties. A strong attention to detail is required to meet these standards.
● Maintain work orders with a high degree of detail, accuracy, and associated documentation in our online Quantum Maintenance software.
● Personnel Training: Work alongside, teach, mentor, and provide guidance to apprentices. Assist in developing, tracking, and testing apprentices’ mastery of skills in preparation for the A&P licensing exams.
● Interface with customers as needed (primary contact with the customers is the Director of Maintenance but you may need to interact): Keep customers informed and fully aware of the scope of work needed on their aircraft. Refer customers back to shop leadership or CEO when pertaining to financial or other related details.
● Adhere to maintenance manuals, J&G, and FAA procedures and guidelines.
● Report to work on time as required and completion of work assigned in a timely manner.
● Wear provided uniforms every day in the shop. J&G will provide other uniform items as needed.
● Ensure work area, shop, tools, and parts are clean and organized.
● Assist as needed in moving aircraft, shop equipment, and other heavy items.
● Must have the ability to bend, squat, and work in tight spaces for extended periods of time.
● Continued Education: Keep licensing current, attend industry related seminars, and trainings recommended by leadership. Seek to continually learn and improve.
● Effective Communication Skills: Use verbal interactions, email, and Slack to communicate issues, updates, and requests for information.
● General computer skills: G-Suite email, Slack, Toolbox, Quantum MX, Zoom, Google Calendar, industry websites, manual and others as needed.
● Additional duties as necessary and assigned.
Job Requirements: A&P License with no history of infractions; Prefer experience with small reciprocating aircraft (General Aviation); Must provide own tools and laptop; Proficiency in using personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, and computer-based maintenance tracking programs.
Salary Range: $27-$29/hour (opportunity for overtime if desired)
Pay Rate is Commensurate with Experience and Demonstrated Performance

Travel: Minimal. Some local area travel to conduct Aircraft -On-Ground (AOG) may be required.
